Post-traumatic stress syndrome on a national level
A war is a very easy thing to fight on another people’s lands. And killing other Muslims children, mothers, fathers and relatives in the name of Allah is preferable to killing your own family, but wrong.
The west’s position was clear as stated by George W. Bush in 2004 "We are fighting these terrorists with our military in Afghanistan and Iraq and beyond so we do not have to face them in the streets of our own cities."
Equally clear is Osama bin Laden strategy of a war of attrition against the United States and the west. The plan was instituted on 9/11/2001 in New York. Afghanistan was to become the first major battleground and with the help of American neo-conservatives Iraq the second. There is no evidence that Afghans were ask if they would like have their country become a battleground, including the Taliban. In Iraq one could argue that while neo-conservatives and al-Qaeda have different goals they have complimented each other’s ambitions.
Regardless, what is troubling in this conflict between the nations of the west and the wealthy Arabia princes is the cost paid by innocent Muslims in Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, Iraq and Afghanistan.
The supporters of terrorism tactics defend terrorism as a counter to the advance weapon system of the western armies, which they lured into poor Islamic countries to fight.
Their focus being:
Subjugation of all Muslim cultures and the destruction of all Muslim opposition.
Advancement of their reinterpretation of Islam.
"If the enemy mounts a wall of civilians in front of government or military offices, they must be killed first." Osama bin Laden states to his followers. However, the majority of attacks are against Pashtuns, Iraqis, Afghanis, and Pakistanis, civilians who are being killed to bring them into submission through fear.
Suicide bombings attacks have primary focused on Muslims in these countries.
Pakistani journalist Imtiaz Gul reported Saudi born al-Qaeda commander Abu Nasir al-Qahtani answer to the whether suicide bombing was Islamic and why only Afghanistan and Pakistan were targets of such attacks. "We receive funds from Arab countries, therefore, we cannot carry out any attack there, if we commit any wrong there, they will stop the supply of funds to us." His use of the word wrong is a clear statement as to whether suicide bombing is Islamic.
The west’s war was has never fought much of a war against the tactic of terrorism, but left that responsibility Muslims.
Their focus being:
Destruction of Muslims who employ terrorist tactics and their supporters.
Advancement of western ideology
The west stated they were in a war against terrorism but have failed to define terrorism. The reason being governments are just as likely to kill a wall of innocent Muslims pursuing an enemy as those they call terrorist. Powerful governments do not like to create standards of behavior in war for fear of being held accountable for their own conduct in war.
Innocent victims of a drone fired hellfire missile suffer the same misery as from a suicide bomber attack. No surviving victim engages in moral arguments as to who had the moral authority to kill their family members or maim them.
It is imperative that Muslim governments find the means to facilitate the removal of Muslim and western foreign combatants from their nations.
